Artisans Craft Gundam Tumblers Inspired By Mecha Engines

Bandai is taking preorders for “Gundam Vernier Tumbler” a collaboration of Japanese master ironmongers TSUBAME and the Gundam Café.
The tumbler is modeled after the "Vernier" thrusters attached to the RX-78-2 Gundam Kunio Ōkawara
Other items in the Discovery-G series is the Char Aznable gold bullion kuriyokan (Japanese autumn jelly with chestnuts and azuki jam), a collaboration with traditional Japanese confectionery Kyo Sanjō Surugaya in Kyoto.
The tumbler will sell for 5,400 yen (~US$54). Preorders are accepted until June 13 and the product is expected to ship in mid July.
Ghibli's turned to local artisans in Nomi, Ishikawa to create three new Ultraman figures.
